چکیده

Recently systematic methods based on the QCD factorization have been developed for the exclusive B meson decays into light mesons (for other approaches see). Essential ingredients in this approach are the light-cone distribution amplitudes for the participating mesons, which constitute nonperturbative long-distance contribution to the factorized amplitudes. For the light mesons (π, K, ρ, K, etc.) appearing in the final state, systematic model-independent study of the light-cone distributions exists for both leading and higher twists. On the other hand, the light-cone distribution amplitudes for the B meson are not well-known at present and provide a major source of uncertainty in the calculations of the decay rates. In this work, we demonstrate that heavy-quark symmetry and constraints from the equations of motion determine a unique analytic solution for the B meson light-cone distribution amplitudes within the two-particle Fock states. We also derive the exact integral representations for the effects of higher Fock states with additional gluons. In the heavy-quark limit, the B meson matrix elements obey the heavy-quark symmetry, and is described by the heavy-quark effective theory (HQET). Following

B meson light-cone distribution amplitudes in the heavy-quark limit

We investigate the B meson light-cone distribution amplitudes in the heavyquark limit which are relevant for the QCD factorization approach for the exclusive B meson decays. We derive exact relations between twoand three-particle distribution amplitudes from the QCD equations of motion and heavy-quark symmetry constraint. As solution of these relations, we give representations for the quark-ant...

The B π form factor from light-cone sum rules in soft-collinear effective theory

Recently, we have derived light-cone sum rules for exclusive B-meson decays into light energetic hadrons from correlation functions within soft-collinear effective theory [1]. In these sum rules the short-distance scale refers to “hard-collinear” interactions with virtualities of order ΛQCDmb. Hard scales (related to virtualities of order mb) are integrated out and enter via external coefficien...

A quark loop model for heavy mesons

I consider a model based on a quark–meson interaction Lagrangian. The transition amplitudes are evaluated by computing diagrams in which heavy and light mesons are attached to quark loops. The light chiral symmetry relations and the heavy quark spin-flavour symmetry dictated by the heavy quark effective theory are implemented. The model allows to compute the decay form factors and therefore can...

Perturbative QCD Effects in Heavy Meson Decays

The amplitude for the exclusive nonleptonic decay of a heavy meson into two light pseudoscalar mesons is analyzed using the factorization formalism of perturbative QCD for exclusive reactions at large momentum transfer. We show that the leading contribution to such amplitudes is proportional to (rs(Q2) where Q” scales with the heavy meson mass squared. Branching ratios for a few B” decay modes ...

Modelling light-cone distribution amplitudes from non-relativistic bound states

We calculate light-cone distribution amplitudes for non-relativistic bound states, including radiative corrections from relativistic gluon exchange to first order in the strong coupling constant. We distinguish between bound states of quarks with equal (or similar) mass, m1 ∼ m2, and between bound states where the quark masses are hierarchical, m1 ≫ m2. For both cases we calculate the distribut...
